    • TASTE THE PRUNE DIFFERENTLY

We are producers and processors of Agen prunes, the emblematic product of Lot et Garonne. We cultivate Plum d'Ente on approximately 30 hectares and we ensure all the processing operations of the Prune d'Ente to make Pruneaux d'Agen in accordance with the specifications of the IGP (Indicator Protected Geographical). Our farm is located on the banks of the Lot river. A magnificent stream that looks like a small Amazon at certain times of the day. Our farm has existed since 1962, it was at this time that the first Ente plum trees were planted.

We produce an artisanal Agen Prune, tasty, soft and melting in the mouth. True to our quality approach, it is made naturally, without any chemical preservatives.

Thus, you will find in our shop a wide range of Plain Agen Prunes of different sizes. But also Filled Prunes, Coated Prunes, Pavés Agenais (a paste of prunes coated with different chocolates, with or without hazelnut chips). Different prune creams will satisfy your taste buds. Without forgetting the flagship product of Lot-et-Garonne, the famous Prune with Armagnac. "Homemade recipes" of Prunes in Brandy or Whiskey, terrines and other delicacies will also whet your appetite.

For 2 years we have also been producers of soilless strawberries, we cultivate Gariguette and Charlotte from the end of February to the end of October. Our sweet, juicy and fragrant strawberries are also produced with the greatest respect for the environment.

As farmers aware of the interest of protecting our planet, we are implementing on our farms techniques and natural alternative solutions (sheep for weeding orchards, auxiliaries for the treatment of parasites).

We have made the choice to produce in compliance with a High Environmental Value Level 3 certification. An agriculture that preserves biodiversity, which promotes the natural fertilization of soils and fruits (organic sheep fertilizers, pollination by bees and bumblebees), which limits inputs as much as possible (by targeting and treating only the origin of a disease), and which favors responsible management of natural resources (photovoltaic energy, rainwater harvesting, irrigation probe). We also have different plots in organic farming.

We have made the choice of short-circuit marketing, in order to guarantee the best quality of products to our consumers and customers.

Interesting museum on working plum/prune farm. Multilingual audio guide included in entrance fee (of 5€ for an adult but check website), provides the historical details. A film brings in the present day farm and processes. Excellent tasting with parking for motorhome overnight.

Really informative visit and well curated space. Audio guide gave lots of growing history and heritage context to this proud growing provenance. Doesn't take ages to see it all, but definitely a short and sweet excursion. We would recommend to people in the area. Some great products available to buy in the shop too.
