1) The perched village of Pujols

Pujols is located about thirty minutes from Agen, in the Lot valley. Perched 180 meters above sea level, on a limestone plateau, it dominates the Masse and Lot valleys. You will admire a panorama of great beauty! This medieval village has managed to preserve a very interesting heritage, in particular the Saint-Nicolas Church or the Halle de Pujols. 2) Bonaguil Castle

The Château de Bonaguil is located between the Dordogne and the Lot, in the town of Saint-Front-sur-Lémance, about 30 minutes from Villeneuve-sur-Lot. Its guided tour allows you to better understand the local history. The castle was built on a rocky promontory and overlooks the countryside. Its particularity is its 7 drawbridges, which protected this old offensive building.

3) The medieval village of Cancon

In the Pays du Dropt, between Castillonnès and Villeneuve-sur-Lot, the small village of Cancon is an important site. Indeed, it is considered the “capital of the hazelnut”. Charming cobbled streets lead you to the points of interest of the village: the Halle, the remains of the old castle, the Place des Marronniers which offers a natural terrace, where you can sit to admire the view over the plain of Monflanquin.

4) The Moulin des Tours de Barbaste

Le Moulin des Tours is located in the town of Barbaste, on the lands of Albret. It is a place steeped in history, built between the 12th and 13th centuries. What characterizes it are its 4 defensive towers, amazing for a mill. You will find all the explanations to satisfy your curiosity, in the exhibition inside the mill. The setting is idyllic and conducive to walking. You will see the Moulin du Batan, the charming bridge that spans the Gélise and you can even take a boat trip on the river.

5) The Sanctuary of Penne d'Agenais

Penne d'Agenais is a medieval village in the Lot Valley. Placed on top of a hill, it is a strategic site, which witnessed the 100 Years War and the Battle of the Albigensians. Its old stones have many stories to tell you... By following the tour circuit provided by the tourist office, you will walk in the footsteps of Richard the Lionheart, passing through the majestic city gate, along the half-timbered houses, stopping in front of the old prison or the arcaded facades of the shops...

6) Nérac, the city of Henri IV

We offer you a journey through time to relive the great era of the Renaissance. Nérac is part of the domain of the Albret family and saw the birth of its most famous child: Henri IV. You can thus visit the Royal Castle of Henri IV, before strolling through the Royal Park of La Garenne, very popular with the ladies of the Court. If you feel like it, take advantage of the lawns on the banks of the Baïse to relax, listening to the chirping of birds and the lapping of the water...

7) The Castle of the Duchy of Lauzun

To the north of Lot-et-Garonne, the village of Lauzun is a former Gallo-Roman oppidum. It has always been busy since that time. Thus, it is transformed into a fortress, during the Middle Ages. Then it was remodeled during the Renaissance to take the form of the current Château de Lauzun.

9) Duras Castle
